The Pit Boss Rotating Vehicle Turntable can help homeowners avoid more-common-than-you-might-think dangers while pulling out of their garage. There are three different levels of risks we each encounter every time we back our car out of the garage. We are of the opinion that all three of these situations can be prevented by eliminating the need to reverse your vehicle altogether. By effortlessly driving your car onto the Pitt Boss and pressing a button (either on your wireless remote or on the control panel located in your garage), you can watch as your vehicle smoothly rotates 180°, ensuring it is conveniently positioned for your next departure.

Backing into and damaging the garage door
The folks over at Garage Door Guide have this to say on the matter:
“Hitting or backing into the garage door is more common than you might think – in fact it happens all the time. Most of these types of accidents happen during early morning hours when homeowners are tired and running late for work. Maybe their morning caffeine hasn’t kicked in yet or maybe its the early morning darkness. In either case its usually user error as opposed to malfunctioning openers that causes garage door accidents.”
2. Back-over accidents involving a person, pet or object that the driver doesn’t see
According to the Best Online Traffic School some common causes include:
• A vehicle’s backup alarm or backup camera malfunctions.
• Driver is distracted and fails to check behind them or pay attention to their safety equipment.
• The driver is backing up too quickly and cannot stop in time when a hazard appears.
• The driver is fatigued, under the influence, or otherwise impaired.
The statistics in this category are indeed quite alarming, as per the estimates of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, an average of 200 fatalities and 7000 injuries are reported each year.
3. Backing out of driveway vehicle to vehicle accidents
Michael Tario of the law firm Tario Associates wants people to be aware that you are at fault if you cause an accident while backing out of their driveway or garage into the road.
“Many backing out of driveway accidents happen every day as drivers back out of both residential and commercial driveways. This type of accident can be very serious, often causing a T-Bone accident where the oncoming vehicle in the roadway doesn’t see the vehicle backing out of the driveway and crashes into the side of the vehicle.”
